Looking over the description it shows Acer Aspire E700 R02A1 Bios below the picture of the computer. However, the title of the thread is Acer Aspire L5100 R02-A1 With Unlocked Overclocking Options. Is this for either PC? Should the .BIN file be renamed before flashing? Also, should this be flashed in DOS using Afu855?

Thanks for pointing out the typo - we use a template for posted mods so that probably why it was wrong

the bin file doesnt have to be renamed but it makes it easier if you just call it bios.bin

Flash in DOS = Yes

Use Afu855 = No , this is an Award bios. Afu855 is for AMI bioses. Please download awdflash.exe for Award bioses and flash using this from DOs

I tried this on an Acer Aspire L5100 and get "The program file's part number does not match with your system!" when using the AwardBIOS Flash Utility V8.83. This (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/747181/Acer%20As...4s282.zip) works fine on the same machine. Any suggestions? BTW, this is an archive of all the Award Flash Utilities: http://www.rom.by/book/Download_AWDFLASH (might be useful for others as Award's website no longer exists and Phoenix does not appear to support AwardBIOS products anymore).

I am using Acer Aspire T160 however my bios version is R02-A1, does this means i can flash mine using this bios?

Главное backup сохрани чтобы hot swap сделать потом если что, сегодня этим занимался, очень увлекательное занятие, главное помогает.

This is not an Acer Aspire T160, therefore this bios will not work. I believe this is what you are looking for.

I have an acer m5100 computer, will this bios flash work even though its not the exact same model?

P.S I couldn't find a working bios in the unlocked acer m5100 bios forum
