Hello I also have a M275  with P01-C2 and the other link doesn't work for me via dosflash. I uploaded via dosflash, and it still wont accept other ram and wont enable ahci, it uploads, but simply doesn't change anything. So I could also use this file. Thanks.

Just looking to unlock anything that is locked, ram settings would be the most helpful.

There is another thread on the forum with a unlocked bios for this system, however after flashing it hasn't seemed to have done anything.

Hi,
I need a Ami bios unlocked for Acer Veriton M275.
Motherboard Acer G41M07, Sata Controller mode greyed out stuck on IDE, I'd like to enable AHCI option.
I've attached latest rom bios update below.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for joining post.
I don't need overclock etc.....
Mainly I need Ahci enabled.

Got it opened in BCP and I could find it locked on 03.
I've tried to change to 00,01 and 02 without success on the machine after flash.
I need some instructions.

Hi everyone!
It would be of great help if this BIOS could be unlocked, then it would make more sense to go ahead with an LGA 771 Xeon.

Hello.

I have an Acer Veriton M275 board. Updated to the latest BIOS version Date: 2012/03/05 Version: P01.C2.

As the processors have come down in price as well as the ram memories. I took the time to test different configurations of DDR3 ram memory, in the 2 slots of the motherboard.

Intel® Pentium™ E5800 (3.20 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 2MB Cache) supports 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3 (1333Mhz or 1066Mhz).

Intel® Core ™ 2 Duo E7600 (3.06 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 3MB cache) supports 4GB (2GBx2) DDR3 1066Mhz

Intel® Core ™ 2 Duo E8600 (3.33 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB, 6MB cache) supports 4GB (2GBx2) DDR3 1066Mhz

Intel® Core ™ 2 Quad Q9650 (3.00 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB, 8MB cache) supports 4GB (2GBx2) DDR3 1066Mhz

I have the impression that the board was locked to allow more ram to those processors that handle 800mhz FSB, lagging the processors with 1066mhz and 1333mhz FSB at only 4GB of DDR3 RAM.

Hope it helps someone.

Note: I support unlocking the maximum amount of Ram memory in the BIOS for the latest processors such as the Intel® Core ™ 2 Duo E8600 and the Intel® Core ™ 2 Quad Q9650. With all that has been advanced in the knowledge of the BIOS, it would be very useful to unlock this BIOS.

Greetings!

on Acer Veriton x275 board BIOS version P01.C2 same m275 bios.

For ram Upgrade you had to get a 4gb bank with 2ranks and addressing 15 rows by 10 columns with low density 256mb x 8 x 8 x 2 rank and rewrite the SPD to lower the speed from 1600mhz to 1066mhz.

you can use the compatibility database distributed by thaiphoon burner to see which ram are 15x10 and 2ranks.

I want to clarify that if you have 4 ram slots you can use 4 x 2gb low density ram but since the g41 is a cheap chipset 90% of the cards are equipped with only 2 ram slots, either you get these ram or you will stay at 4gb.

the memory works although as a negative effect I have lost any overclocking ability of the system. just raise the fsb by 5mhz and the system becomes unstable .

I don't know if it's worth it. now I am also forced to replace e7600 cpu to recover some lost speed.
you try to mod spd for 1333mhz fsb cpu with 1066mhz ram parmeters (tCK min - tRFC MSB/LSB).

Update spd TRFC parameter fix (elpida default 160ns not boot, 110ns too low lower fsb to 266, 138ns fix overclock stable 321mhz).
