The manufacturer of slic is not important and its recommended to ensure no future problems that you install a matching manufacturer to the motherboard where possible. Especially in this BIOS as it has a Dummy 2.0 SLIC in it anyway!

Here you go , i used MSI 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt:

slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was successfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

thanks a lot for your assistance , appreciate it. I actually took care of this myself before you posted it, actually prefer to have Dell cert in it even though I understand your reason behind matching manufacturer. Thx
On another note what happened to the old forum member list cos I had to register again. I used to be a member back in the late 90's / early 2000 when we still had the old Abit K7n mobo. Got a ? 4 u though , u think there is any chance of making this mobo hackintosh friendly .

Once again thx

Please post a request in the Mac OSX DSDT section and we will see what we can do about it Smile

The reason you had to reregister was that while the www.biosmods.com domain still belongs to the same owner , it is under a redurect to bios-mods.com which has a different set of admins and moderators and is actually a completely different website. The old biosmods.com forums were shut down due to spam which is a great shame. The site was also left as an archive so i took over. I have already contacted the old owner to see if there was a copy of the forum database around so we could merge all the old members , posts and threads into the new database but unfortunately he didnt have a database backup
