[Test] HP G62-b70EQ Notebook PC - Insyde Bios Advanced Menu
#1
hello,
Could you help me with unlocking the advanced menu for this?
here are the download links for both bioses available for download

Insyde bios 2011-03-11 F.47
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp52001-52500/sp52190.exe

Insyde bios 2011-03-11 F.35A
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50001-50500/sp50335.exe

I have no setting in my bios to set my hard drive to AHCI or any advanced settings.

Thank you in advance,
Tudor

I'm uploading right now file for you, whitelist removed and added IDE/SATA enable/disable, HDC Configure IDE/AHCI, and Graphics mode iGPU/dGPU/Hybrid to "System configuration" menu.

I hope it works fine enough for you. You know, test it and tell me. Find it in my second folder.

Please remember to come back and leave feedback. I hate leech and disappear thing.

so i flashed the bios. all things were unlocked and showing in bios. everything went good until i tried to modify one option.
after restart the screen was pure black Smile
i tried to recover the bios with win key+B or all the 4 arrows pressed on power on. but nothing :|
so now i have a semibricked lappySmile i'll keep searching for ways to recover to the original bios

You will need to remove cmos battery from inside the lappy a couple of minutes, then connect again and it will boot

After reset cmos you should apply usb stick plus win-b to flash original.

Hello, Try the included file I have attached. it is your original bios. Extract it and put it on your usb stick and also make sure your usb stick is formatted to fat32. Pull your battery pack and your power cable from your laptop. hold win+b and plug your power cable back in. While still holding the buttons, press the power button and let go of power. You should hear your fans running at full speed. It should take about 15 seconds or so for the laptop to pickup the bios on your file and begin beeping. It should take about 3 minutes for it to complete it's flash. Don't touch the laptop til it finishes it's beeping and restarts/turns off. The file I included is named 01439.fd If the laptop does not pick it up then rename it to 1439.fd Should work and flash you back to stock.
