According to service manual it should be HP part number 531993-001, it's quite common in HP laptops. Maybe you can get PCI ID from web or this image: If not, thanks for the effort. | |||

| RE: [Pend] Request - HP Proobok 6540b WWAN whitelist removal I have uploaded testfile for you, i must warn you that many probook laptops doesn't accept the modded bios and automatically revert back to original bios, so if yours does this i cannot do anymore to solve. Flashing is safe, even if it bricks the laptop, recover from bad bios is child's play using a usb stick. Look for your test file following my signature directions, second HERE. | RE: [Pend] Request - HP Proobok 6540b WWAN whitelist removal I tried your modded BIOS, but unfortunately it doesn't work. I get 'The System BIOS update failed' message immediately after pressing Enter to apply update (after restart), it doesn't even start writing the new BIOS. EDIT: Nevermind, I saw in another post I have to remove hptools partition, I'll try this later. | |||

| RE: [Test] Request - HP Proobok 6540b WWAN whitelist removal This happens a lot with Proobook and Elitebook laptops. Or reverts to original or it simply bricks but always are recoverable by usb stick and original bios. BIOS REPOSITORY.Please consider donating (me or forum) if you like my work.
