new to site need general help......
#1
I have a Biostar GF7050V-M7
http://www.biostar-usa.com/app/en-us/mb/...p?S_ID=307

CPU Intel Pentium D 915 2.80GHz

what i would like to do is get a new bos for my mobo for 2 reasons
1- my current bios has limited control over core voltage and only increases by percent and I feel that this is not conducive for overclocking I would like to have a solid control over voltage and be able to see how much I am increasing.
2- I need a OEM SLIC 2.1 to authenticate windows 7 I would like to try maybe a ASUS bios but I am a virgin BIOS modder so i am not sure what i need to do any help would be greatly appreciated.

From what i can see , your CPU Voltage options are 100% , 102% , 104% and 106%. I can edit these options , but i dont know whether it will reflect Ie. I can change the text but i dont know if changing the text changes the voltage!

As for SLIC , I have some better news

Here you go , i used Asus 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt:

slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was sucessfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

Type Cmd in Start box , then right click the "cmd" icon and click "Run as administrator"

Then run slmgr.vbs-ilc

Also try renaming the cert to just oem.xrm.ms. It doesnt matter what its called but its easy to make mistakes with the _ and -

Theres supposed to be a space between slmgr.vbs and -ilc

Try that!
