Unable to upgrade the crappy WIFI/BLUTOOTH card. I really appreciate any help. There is no updated bios available from Lenovo yet. This is a new Yoga laptop.

probably it is protected for writing in the BIOS, in that case you'ld need a external programmer to program the bios.
I am sure it is just whitelisted, I am getting the "unauthorized wifi card" message on boot. As it is a new laptop no new bios to even look at and I have no idea how to extract the current bios.

felipejfc, I tried your link but it did not seem to work or I was just to hasty. It locked up the PC and I had to restart. Appreciate your help with this obvious wrongdoing at the hands of Lenovo.

On trying to research this issue, I found that the Yoga 2
Pro has a dual band wireless AC card available. Is there an approved WLAN card preferably wireless AC for the Yoga 2 11" model?
Has this been looked into further?
Really need a new wifi card
