I have a HP Pavilion DV7t-7000 cto edition with a Insyde F.13 bios which is rejecting my PCIe device. Would some one be kind enough to give me a modded version of this bios, I would be very greatful.

Thank You
Hey Guys

I have an HP DV6T-6b00 laptop and would like to install the intel 7260HMWWB WiFi card in it. We have a horrible network at school and I need to get access to the 5ghz AC network. I have been trying to figure out the above instructions but the problem is there is no .fd file for my system the BIOS comes as a .exe flashing program. The BIOS file available is sp60655.exe, and is the "2013-01-29 , VersionF.1C, 7.73M" version for my system. Anyway is there anybody out there that has managed to get this card to work in this system?

Cheers

Just extract sp60655.exe with WinRar or 7zip, after this extract: 17FCF1C.exe or F0xTOF1C.exe depending your hardware!
This has been a great help to me. I'm well on my way to breaking it down, but
I am having a booger of a problem removing the RSA from my dv6-6c35dx in
order to. I'm pretty sure I achieved it by dismantling it, backing up the bios and
producing an original non-encrypted version of the bios (or at least I hope I
achieved it, not willing to try yet until I know i did it ALL right).

Any tips?

George, the reason there is no .fd is that the newer Insyde versions are RSA encrypted .bin files.

I have not enough words to express how much I thank you for your help. I'm owner of an HP Pavillion dv4-2112br and your method just worked flawlessly on it!

If anyone with the same problem and same machine finds this topic, just register the forum, message me, and I'll be glad to send my modded BIOS.

Hello,

Would it be any chance to mod BIOS of a HP HDX18?

Hello

I am working on HP DV5-1015. I was trying to follow your instruction but 55 8b ec string is not between MZ an 104 part. I really fed up with it. I would be grateful if you could help me with modifying the bios for my laptop.
File is located here http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45138.exe
Thank you in advance.

Kind regards
Lukasz
