I am working on HP DV5-1015. I was trying to follow your instruction but 55 8b ec string is not between MZ an 104 part. I really fed up with it. I would be grateful if you could help me with modifying the bios for my laptop.
File is located here http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45138.exe
Thank you in advance.

Kind regards
Lukasz

Thanks for trying to do it yourself first! And don't feel discouraged that you wern't able to do it. Reverse engineering software can be difficult. Here you go. Enjoy Big Grin

And If you want to donate, then that'd be awesome Smile

I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-6000 CTO Edition and I'm not sure if this is something that will work since its a CTO. It has Insyde BIOS and here's a link to the BIOS.
donovan6000 I just noticed your blog post. The HP Insyde F.1B SP55068 is the same file name as the one my bios is. Will it work for my CTO then?

EDIT:
Alright so actually I went ahead, did some reading, also read your blog, downloaded that file that you modified for someone else, or with someone else, idk. Made a recovery usb (just in case), and replaced the logo (just for fun), and flashed.

To my surprise this worked and I have new logo, advanced/power tabs, and no more whitelist, (although I don't have a wlan card to test that with).

I did notice that in my HP Wireless Assistant the Bluetooth module is gone and only the WiFi module is there. HP S.A. lets you turn on and off the wifi and Bluetooth. Instead the Bluetooth is always on, but I can turn off the receiver instead. Just something weird I noticed. I'm going to order my wlan card I wanted and see if it works cause before I returned it, it said it wasn't compatible. Wish I found this site sooner...
I tried for two days to remove my whitelist with both donovan's and hsupman's method but I couldn't do it. I can't find the error message or my device's id in the extracted bios(used andy's tool and ezh2o/winhex).

Can you help me with this please?

Acer bios have never implemented wifi whitelists. Your probably trying to use a wifi card that isn't compatible with your laptop's hardware or you don't have any drivers installed for the device.
does anybody have Insyde BIOS editor - EZH2O,i google it and cannot find it,please anybody i have drop box thanks
I'm sorry if this is a stupid question.

Can I use this on my HP DM4 2070us which has sp59880? Thank you.

PLEASE HELP ME SIRS! Sad
Greetings!

Would like to request for BIOS unlocked.

Model: HP 1000 1b04au
proc: AMD E1-1200 with Radeon™ HD Graphics 1.40 GHz
Bios version: Insyde f.45 2/10/2014
Bios location: BIOS or BIOS

Reason for me wanted to unlock it because I have installed 6GB RAM on it but still shows 1.6GB Usable. I have Win7 64bit.

I would like to have it unlocked so that I can modify the RAM usage and Maximized whatever RAM capacity it has, the advance tab, and also the whitelist.

Thanks in advance and willing to donate as a token of appreciation Smile
