I got a Packard Bell motherboard I want to unlock with a better BIOS...
It's a socket 775

On the FOXCONN motherboard there's a paper label that says "PT8907MB-2.0-8ERS2H"

Stamped on the motherboard under another label it says:
PT8907MB
P4M8907MB
P4M9007MB

CPU-Z says manufacturer is Packard Bell BV
Model: PT890-8237A

The BIOS that it installed is PBSFC2MB.P10 from 10/01/2007 (Phoenix Award)

Chipset is VIA P4M890 rev 00
Southbridge is VIA VT8237A rev 00
LPCIO is ITE IT8718

Serial number for this board is ULQD74501022 if that helps.

Belarc advisor says:
System Model:
PACKARD BELL BV IMEDIA X1607 PB80X07591
System Serial Number: 102090190378
Chassis Serial Number: 50424E

Main circuit board:
Board: Packard Bell BV PT890-8237A
Serial Number: ULQD74501022
Bus Clock: 266 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD PBSFC2MB.P10 10/01/2007

I would like to know what this motherboard is called from the Foxconn, since this is a OEM-board.

Thanks Wink

Ok. Thanks! Here it comes!

Main thing with this BIOs is that it only reports 2 Gb RAM. Windows reports 3 Gb though... Since I have 4 Gb, I want it to use that. It's very strange though since the computer was sold with 4 Gb.
Bump.

Please help?
