Its an ACER computer aspire mxxxx i believe running the RS740DVF mb and AMD athlon X2 4450e at 2.3ghz. It had vista but i loaded windows 7 32-bit if that matters and of course has the AMI bios version R03-A4 4/8/2008
Just looking to see what i can do. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks.
Please provide a link to the BIOS download, you can find this on the manufacturers website.

anyone want to take a crack at it?
starting to think maybe its not possible...weird thing is after sifting through all their computers i found MY version of the ami bios im running on a different computer.
This is definitely NOT AMI BIOS.
according to cpu-z my bios is AMI R03-A4. when i boot to bios screen it says v2.61 at the very bottom. i found out my comp is an aspire m1201 but when i go to their website acer gives a different bios version. http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...20M1200%20&%20M1201.zip?acerid=633866876663695884&Step1=Desktop&Step2=Aspire&Step3=Aspire M1201&OS=721&LC=en&BC=Acer&SC=PA_6

1) Does it have AMI triangle logo during startup?
2) Download AFUWIN and use it to save the BIOS you have a post a link here. Acer uses same BIOS version names for absolutely different boards. Thus there can be hundreds of R03-A4 BIOSes for absolutely different boards.

If it's really AMI, then I'll delete the first link and bring the request back to AMI section. (If I don't forget to Big Grin)
k saved my bios as a rom file...now how do i go about posting a link?
