I've made this request originally in the unlocking forum to no avail, no problem...that's not the important bit. The important bit was being able to make sure the bios was open to support an Intel Q9100 CPU before I purchase it.

I have uploaded the current bios to the following location :-

http://svr1.16o.com/1340_A15.zip

It's an old machine, currently with an Intel P8600 CPU. So I've tried to follow the read me on setting up the request :-

The bios is uploaded : http://svr1.16o.com/1340_A15.zip
What happens : Nothing, because I want to buy the new CPU if I my device can support it.
AIDA64 screenshot : Attached
CPU Spec code : Ones I have seen for sale are QAVK, pre-production engineering samples

So it talks about finding a motherboard bios of the same chipset with the CPU supported already. Well I believe it's a chipset nVIDIA MCP79, which I can't seem to find much info on.

Actually, I believe the following is the download location of a bios to a Dell Alienware 17x...it has the MCP79 chipset and supports the quad core CPU's that I want to use in my XPS 1340.

The link is as follows :-
