For those looking for a Modified BIOS for the Lenovo T400/R400, I came across this file from mydigitallife.info's forums. I hope posting this here is allowed given no files were posted yet for this computer.

This is version 3.23/3.24 (2011-12-15 for 7UET93WW/7VET94WW) -- for more detail see http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj48us.txt
x64 (64-bit): http://www.sendspace.com/file/pmqjc1
x86 (32-bit): http://rghost.net/38017698

I installed the original BIOS (v3.23 - 7UET93WW) first on my T400 (running WinXP x86), rebooted and then install the Modified one. During the installation of the Mod file it seemed to have stalled while creating the Backup file, but it eventually displayed all done. Just a note, unlike the T410 where you select the .ROM file, here you need to select either the "$01B8200.FL1" file if your BIOS comes up as v3.23 or the "$01B8100.FL1" file if your BIOS shows up as 3.24 as the ROM file per the instructions.

Tested/Works with a Dell DW1506 WiFi Card (Atheros AR5B125).

I got a hold of Serg008 on MDL last night and he confirmed that his bios mod does remove both WLAN/WWAN whitelist. I will confirm in a few days

and as far as I know WPAN is Wireless Personal Area Network. That would probably be Bluetooth cards? No. I am trying to add a Ericsson F5521gw 3G UMTS WWAN card to the T400

Yes I know my way !
WPAN = Bluetooth (but 3G service is localized into same module and locked of there) I have got many Bioses using this kind of modules lock !
I know Serg008 and if He said that I belive it !
I only looked the Bios as Phoenix type (It's not Insyde) and the module modded :

BIOSCOD06.ROM

P.S. I wrote this Dirty Guide to Remove Whitelist (a lot of time ago)
