Oh sorry I made a mistake. I flashed the original BIOS. It says again:

Error : Failed to verify Secure Flash image.
Error code = 234

So I'm now on the oldest BIOS from lenovo and ran: fptw64.exe -d dsk1.rom -desc

EDIT: Flashrom is a stupid idea on Laptops. I just read it in the wiki. So this post can be ignored / removed

any updates on this topic? i think the solution would also work on my ideapad yoga with broadwell cpu

No news... the end of the story: you either have to get a hardware flasher (highly recommended option) or use flashrom (really risky and bad idea. I won't try this without a hardware flasher aas the chances are incredibly high you brick your laptop...)

I love this forum and the work its community does. Unfortunately I have troubles with exchanging my wifi card in my Lenovo Thinkpad L450 notebook and I would like to unlock my wifi card slot. Also configuring the DVMT would be best. 


What do you need to be able to modify my bios? Thank you!

I have managed to backup my BIOS. Unfortunately I cannot download the modded BIOS files for Thinkpad L450 in this forums anymore because they have been deleted. Hopefully somebody can modify my bios anyways.

I have attached my BIOS. What do I need?

- Unlock advanced menu (to be able to set DVMT)
- Remove whitelist (to be able to replace wifi card)

I accidentally bricked my laptop and flashed Bojan90's bios1.bin and got my laptop working so I would be happy if I got that modified bios also, or should I take copy of my chip or what should I do?
