[Request] Lenovo T500 Whitelist Removal 3.23/3.25 (6fuj46u6)
#1
Hi

Can anyone modify the latest Lenovo T500 BIOS? I need a whitelist removal. Thank you very much!

Download link: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj46u6.exe
PCI ID of my original WLAN card: VEN_8086, DEV_4236 (Intel 5300)

ACPI-tables of RWEverything (if needed): http://www.mediafire.com/?vm0r6k38v45h47d

I need:
- full WLAN/WWAN/WUSB/... whitelist removal

and if possible:
- Dual IDA activation

//EDIT: no SLIC modification needed, 2.1 already included!

Hi

It seems, the white list removal worked! Thanks.

But RWEverything isn't really able to read ACPI tables anymore. They look somehow destructed. "SLIC Toolkit 3.2" says "Dump Error - SLIC Table not found". So something went wrong...
My ACPI tables after the mod do look like this: http://www.mediafire.com/?030144ocnzv8po6

Hi

I just found out, that the original BIOS 3.23/3.25 already includes SLIC 2.1! So I only need the whitelist mod.

I just reflashed the original 3.23/3.25 BIOS. Now it is possible again to read the ACPI tables with RWE. Here is te result: AcpiTbls.rw: http://www.mediafire.com/?55xw0jv81iojamr

A dump of my SLIC table in SLIC Toolkit: http://www.mediafire.com/?x40f56lbouoic3z

Looks great! ACPI tables are ok, SLIC 2.1 is still there, whitelist seems to be removed! It works!

Thank you very much!

It took quite a bit of searching (about half an hour of Googling) to find this, but this seems to be the trick! This is the latest BIOS for the T500, and both the "6F" and "7V" versions of the BIOS are patched here. My version is 7VET95WW, and while most of the other links in threads were dead, the (second) Box link here still works - and my T500 now accepts my shiny new Intel Wireless-AC 7260 adapter! And since the BIOS already had SLIC 2.1 in it, that was untouched too - cool!

I still wasn't able to find a good guide for modding these, though - I'd be more than happy to do it myself, but it seems that once someone figured out how to mod these newer Lenovo BIOSes, they kept the secret to themselves. Wink Tools are the hardest things to find for doing this... but I'm glad there's cool people like sovem busy cranking these out for rep points. <3
