****, we need that to hackintosh!? Our BIOS is encrypted, man, I think we're SOL
Sad

Are you certain that AHCI is not enabled by default? How would we install a SSD without AHCI? I mean...

EDIT: google "F.03 advanced BIOS", there's a youtube video among other things that seem to indicate an unlocked advanced menu...but I tried his method to no avail.

EDIT AGAIN: yeah it's press F10 at bootup, then quickly press the A key...But no luck, apparently it does not work for all Insyde BIOS-equipped laptops.
I'm pretty sure default is AHCI for our laptop.. I think we're good, man.

I googled around and ran this hard drive benchmark that people said to use to determine the HDD interface... It says AHCI.

EDIT: We have AHCI man! Big Grin Why the [censored] did you scare me like that! My Hackintosh build continues as planned! I typed in this magic thing in Windows Command Prompt, again, from Google, and it said if the output was 1 then AHCI is off, 0 means it is on. ZERO! Woo!
