Sticky this or whatever, but I just want you guys to know that the HP m6-1045dx DOES NOT have a whitelist/blacklist, which is good since the BIOS is encrypted...
I have tested two other half-height mini PCIe cards with this laptop, they all worked!
In case you are extra paranoid/careful, I tested the Intel Centrino 1030 and a Broadcom BRCM1050....It came with an Intel Centrino 2230.
The spare full-height PCIe slot ONLY WORKS WITH SOLID STATE CARDS, WWAN/WLAN cards do not get recognized from this full sized slot.
But hey, any half height ya got will work! I cannot testify regarding this laptop's cousin, the AMD-equipped m6-1035dx, but....maybe!
