Hello!

I'm trying to update the bios on my nforce 680i sli. unfortunately my bios is one of the stupid modified alienware versions that wont accept the update via an .iso.

Following this tutorial (http://www.bios-mods.com/bios-update/) I formatted a boot-able flash drive and added the necessary files phlash16 (aka ph1614.exe) and the nf68_p33.bin update.

I booted from the flash drive and started the update as per the instructions, but Im getting the following error message from phlash16:

Platform signature not found in the interface.

Obviously I'm missing something here, and as this is my first time attempting anything like this I thought I should get some professional advice before I brick my bios trying to figure it out alone.

extra info if it helps:

mobo part number is 122-ck-nf68-b1
current bios version is phoenix tech. ltd 6.00 pd 1/22/2008

files on my boot-able flash:
bios.bin (renamed from nf68_p33.bin)
command.com
iso.sys
msdos.sys
ph1614.exe

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

thank you for your time.
