Hello I'm trying to update standard P5Q bios 22.09 with option ROM 10.x or v11.x for Intel ICH10R Raid controller, but system doesn't recognize it.
It hangs during boot on controller page where I should press CTRL-I to configure RAID, displaying a black screen with cursor blinking on the top left corner.
With older Roms, like 8.x and 9.x, I was able to modify Bios properly with MMTool.
Is it possible to hack this bios with newer Intel Roms? I've read somewhere that 1MB EEprom (like the one fitted on P5Q) will be unable to use these Roms. Is it true? Why? Can I replace the Eeprom chip with bigger one (i.e. 2mb?)

Thanks in advice.

I was able to fit 10.1.0.1008. I discovered a problem (freeze) with RST drivers with the same build. Moving to 11.6.x (with bios 10.1) everything is fine.
Btw, do you know why is it impossible to fit newer ROM?

Thank you so much.

I would like to know it, too.

Please, if somebody can give us an answer?

Thanks!Blush

Hello, I finally restored 8.9 bios and drivers (Matrix Storage), because the server (Win2k8R2) freezes and RAID-5 volume corruptions occurs.

Hope this helps!
