Yes , we can try a microcode upgrade if you find a similar chipset board which contains the cpu support! Big Grin

My bad that now i`m on a cloud...
I mean maybe i can find something like gf9400 gf8300 gf8200 gf6150 which one can be the best for microcode upgrade because wizzard says award bios is a tricky one.

if its a serious problem can you give me some tools and i try to make myself.

Thank You
CPU upgrading doesn't really have tools besides CBROM and a feel for the BIOS. Really though, i don't think this will be able to boot a different core type, but Ill compile something and see what we get. First though, you have to find an nf3 board with an award bios that supports it.

Hello,
i find a zotac motherboard with gf8200 chipset which supports most of the new cpu`s and uses award bios.

is it possible to try with this (i mean if i not fail the gf8200 not too far from nf3 chip except the vga part).
I hope the system not trick me and i not will be able to upload the bios here.
http://www.zotacusa.com/zotac-gf8200-a-e...board.html
here is the webpage.
There is a gf6100 with some phenom support on im interested also but the difference against nf3 is same like huge, if i not fail i remember that big changes coming after nf3 chip because of the cpu socket change and multi gpu support.

i try but the system not upload the bioses now from my machine...

For me looks like we can use the zotacs agesa cpu codes and ncpucodes but still is on in gygabytes one we have a cpu microcode part what i not see on zotac ones.

Any help on this?
I need to change anything else then the AGESA module?
Oh this is most interesting. The Zotac is a great candidate but it uses MEMINIT,s o if we rip the AGESA from the zotac then it would look for MEMINIT and most likely corrupt (not sure)

as for the gigabyte it does use the traditional AGESA/Microcode so we may have more luck using that.

I think I will try compiling something from this soon.

TheWiz
I think i can do the job alone but u have right the zotac ones is more tricky...
Hard is this things, but i look forward to make this things before 1st of july

Thank Your help
I checked for a new Gygabyte candidate, i found one with phenom II x6 support also, but near the AGESA i find the meminit module also.
Please check it maybe we can use it like starting point, anyway im interested to learn a bit from this modding so can u help me?
Hey,
it looks like i made a great pass forward, i succesfully cuted out the NCPUCODE.BIN form the M52 motherboard bios. I think with this we can
make any other system bios (award only) the recognize the newest CPUs from AMD.

I put it here.
Im looking forward to your help.
Heres the bios with updated microcode posted above.

Try at your own risk!
