Will this bios update open up for duel core support?
I know that the original bios did not support duel core.
If this does not can you modify so that it can have duel core support?
Well, maybe? seeming as how Im not familiar with the system I need to know your socket type, wether its AMD or intel, and then Ill check options see what I can manage.

Hi

Sorry for the zombie thread resurrection, but:

Any chance that you could make this file available again, or even email it to me ?

Thanks

Thank you very much.

I'll report back...

New Bios flashed successfully, with two new 'options' available in Bios setup:

Frequency/Voltage Control
VDIMM Voltage Select
Vcore Voltage Select

However, looking at the Bios file in Modbin, there weould seem to be a few more 'overclocking' type options available (ie they can be seen in the Setup Screen Structure Tree, as they can be seen, I assume they can be enabled ?):

K8<->NB HT Speed
NB-->SB HT Speed
NB<--SB HT Speed
K8<->NB HT Width
NB<->SB HT Width

And under Dram Configuration:
Timing Mode
Memclock index value essential for setting up a memory speed divider when raising the HT frequency
CAS# Latency
Min RAS# active time
RAS# to CAS# delay
Row precharge time
Bottom of 32-bit [31:24] IO
S/W memory hole remapping
H/W memory hole remapping
MTRR mapping mode

So, is there a possibility that these can be enabled, and do you think they'll work ?

Thanks for your help so far...
Sorry , i muset have missed those options!

mods been updated , please redownload and try art your own risk. The reason we didnt unlock the other temperature readout settings in PC Health is that these can cause corruption to the bios so we just left them

Would appreciate some screenshots of the new options when flashed Big Grin

Wow, that was quick.

When I finish work tonight, I'll reflash and report back again.

Now, what I'd really like is multiplier control in the Bios, much like that which is available in the 54AW1P40 Bios that is available for the Foxconn 6150K8MA boards (on which the Acer board is extremely closely based)

Thanks again for your help...
even though its a huge risk , any chance you could be a tester flashing the retail foxconn bios? Tongue

how similar are they?
