Hi Eagle1,

Just in case you are still working on that machine, Dell released a new BIOS for it (A12).

I have a similar machine myself and have a am having a problem you might be able to help me solve :
I've got a 1TB drive in slot 1 and a 32G mSATA card in the mSATA slot.

For some reason, I cant get Intel RST to turn on. The only 2 options I have in the SATA Operation mode are ATA or AHCI.

What kind of drive configuration do you have ?

Coolhp ?

I'm wishing to do the same - I see the post above mine that someone had posted the correct link to this new 7720A12.EXE BIOS, is this still being worked on? Is this Dell BIOS even unlockable? Hope so, really would like to select the RAID option as the HM77 Chipset supports it. Funny thing this was in the A08 version of the BIOS that shipped with the 7720, since updating from Dell to the A11 and A12 more features in the BIOS have been locked out.

Cheers

OH and Thanks in advanced to anyone still working on this (I Hope) it's very much appreciated by us novice BIOS Modders, I've got good skills myself and if it comes down to it who know maybe I'll just do it myself perhaps become a participant in the forums here to help others as well.

And.... I wouldn't be surprised if more people Google looking for 7720 Bios Mods and find this thread as I have - lot's of folks on the Dell Forums up in arms about the recent A11 and A12 BIOS for the Dell 17R SE 7720.
