Dear all,
here in Greece, we have more than 500 MSI medialive HTPCs based on a nforce 430/6150 chipset M/B. THe motherboard is the ms-7329 and MSI has stopped publishing of new BIOS version since a year + ago. They still have the product in their site but they haven't published any new BIOS supporting newer cpus. They really have no response to our questions. Since the chip set and the socket(AM2) are electrically compliant with all new AMD cpus (at least up to 95w TDP) from AMD, it is very crucial to mod their bios and add the phenom and athlon ii cores support. We can still use a newer athlon x2 cpu that is not been recognised by the bios(not into their official CPU support list) and the system continues to run (with the warning unrecognized cpu) but this cpu is still athlon x2 version. What about the Phenoms and the Athlons II ? Are they going to run ?
If not what can we do about this ? Is there any hidden way to add this support ?
PLEASE HELP.

Thank you in advance!
Something more:
the system (MSI medialive) has AMI BIOS
We are currently doing some more research into CPU Support adding , we appreciate your patience.

What do you exactly mean ?
Can you make a bios that will support Athlon II CPUs (x3 , X4) + Phenom Cpus on a Mobo that can only support athlon X2 CPUs ???

Am i right ?
I just re-read and saw that its, AMI, which makes it harder to update te AGESA module. In any event, please provide a bios link, and I'll take a look at it.

Unfortunately i see that only 6150SE cipsets have Phenom BIOS upgrades not the 6150LEs. It seems that has something to do with the chipset. Can we use these BIOSes ?

Thank you
