Hi all, i am super new here. Dunno if this is the right place to post, but I would like to request for a bios mod. I have SX48P2 deluxe for 3 years now and have always wanted to overclock the machine from day 1. But my shuttle is having the same isue as many feedback online. It doesn't clock anything higher than FSB1600. I have a Q9550 E0, 2 x 2gb Elpida BBSE ram which both should overclock pretty well. However, I am stuck at the FSB1600 wall. Anything above FSB1600 is either unstable or doesn't POST at all, upping the cpu, ram, FSB voltage doesn't really help.

Lately, I stumble upong this thread:

I was thinking whether the FSB wall is due to bios not optimised. Like what the thread starter for the above link did, he replaced the "memory table". Was thinking if anyone here is kind enough to "replace the memory table" of the original SX48P2 deluxe bios from a good overclocking board like this one:

or

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product...x?pid=2765#

and let me try out?

I have two bios chips in hand in case anything goes wrong and I am most willing to test. Thanks.

within this forums, there's another thread which fellow forumer, Dansolo, helped to update the SX48P2 deluexe intel romsip to ver 8.7 and tested by a13x. I think we can use that bios to try out on replacing the memory table. Thanks a bunch!!!

P.S: just a note to all that this motherboard uses DDR3 rams.
