Hello,

I was wondering if someone could help me to add SLIC 2.1 to my Laptop Bios. If someone knows how to do it it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Here you go , i used Toshiba 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\hp.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt: slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was sucessfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

did not work, there is no slic 2.1 inserted with this bios mod, and did not activated windows 7 Sad
I can confirm that my mod DOES contain a Toshiba 2.1 SLIC Table

Please use http://dl.dropbox.com/u/747181/SLIC_Dump_ToolKit.EXE

Run as administrator and post screenshots of each bottom tab (All 3 of them)

This will help us identify any problems which may have stopped the SLIC from being added

Ok, after reflashing again with bios mod, slic 2.1 successfully added, but still can't activated windows 7.

Here the screenshots of SLIC Dump Tool Kit :
Many Many Thanks For Those Screenshots , i can now see that there is a problem with the RSDT string in the bios not being modded properly (Due to the red !=)

Please redownload the mod using the link above (Ive changed the file but the download link is the same) , then follow the certificate and oem slp key instructions that i posted

RSDT still have OEM Table ID oýf¸
and did not changed to TOSCPL00 like in the SLIC OEM Table ID.

I attached below SLIC Dump screenshot again and the RW Everything report.[attachment=146]

Wow, i have run Everest and saw your last mod are very good, you have changed all of ACPI OEM Table ID to TOSCPL00, just one left behind in RSDT OEM Table ID ( oýf¸).
And you have change the RSDT byte length to 60 from before at 56 bytes, that could accomodate TOSCPL00.

Here result from Everest :

Please help and change the left RSDT OEM Table ID Smile
Its really strange that the RSDT string still isnt right - Editing the string manually in a hex editor reports that it SHOULD be working , but something is obviously stopping it from doing so.

Il look into this

Hi 1234s282, have you success on modifying the RSDT OEM Table ID?
Could you make 1 more bios mod of this Toshiba M35x-S329 with BIOS version 1.30?
Cause i saw within this version, they have a different string in RSDT OEM Table ID like this :

Field Value
ACPI Table Properties
ACPI Signature RSDT
Table Description Root System Description Table
Memory Address 5DEE441Dh
Table Length 56 bytes
OEM ID TOSCPL
OEM Table ID 3À´f‰f
OEM Revision 06040000h
Creator ID LTP
Creator Revision 00000000h

Only BIOS ver 1.00 and 1.30 have diff string on RSDT OEM Table ID, BIOS version 1.60, 1.70, 1.90 and 2.00 have same RSDT EOM Table ID (oiyf).
Maybe you could successfully add SLIC 2.1 and changing the RSDT OEM Table ID with this BIOS and could activated Windows 7, I hope so Smile
