I'm trying to upgrade my laptop by putting a better processor AMD Turion ultra zm-85. Right now I have amd athlon x2 L310 .
The problem is that it does not recognize the new processor (only appears the power button (with light on) and the rest does not work, does not boot too)
What happens is that I saw other model with the same chipset and processors with better / equivalent (aspire 8530G / aspirate 5536).
I doubt it's the CPU that is spoiled.
I've tried to update the bios with the models listed above, but without success.
Processor:
AMD Athlon™ x2 Dual Core Processor L310
Mainboard:
chipset: AMD M780g
southbridge: AMD SB700
Bios: V1.03 (I already had the version 1.18 but dont recognize the new CPU)
Bios 8530g: [ http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...1161920162&Step1=NOTEBOOK,%20ULTRABOOK&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIRE%208530G&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_7] (with the same chipset the bios work right?)
