It's not bios!!!!
That's what winflash gave me.

I was able to extract a .cap file from the .exe file from Lenovo, but it's 16Mb and I can't attach it.

Every time I try doing a back-up with winflash now I get:

Error: Driver fail while while locating SMM bus.

Hi friend,
your CPU is Intel ? if so You can use Intel FPT tool from Dos !
Prepare an USB Dos Formatted Bootable using this tool :

See how to make one here:

http://www.howtogeek.com/136987/how-to-c...usb-drive/

https://app.box.com/s/w8xgrhpwf2nx0kamfkc0

Then download this file and unpack It :

http://rghost.net/56772071

Copy the "Modified" folder contents into the stick and boot from USB in DOS mode and run this comand :

fpt -d bios.bin -bios

And upload that file here.
Regards
My lenovo z585 (BIOS Version/Date LENOVO 60CN97WW, 27/08/2013) is way too unreliable and slow with its stock card the qualcomm ar9485, i decided to upgrade my wireless card to the intel 7260:
http://amzn.to/1t4VQCu

But as i expected the dreaded lenovo bios stepped in and stomped on my fun giving the usual "unauthorized card" boot error. so i looked on the internet and a friend directed me here so i thought id give this a go.

Can anyone help me bypass this damned error by giving me a fix or poining me in the right direction?
