I have extracted the files from hp's updater, and have a .e4e file that i believe is the actual bios update, but am unsure. I have 4 dual core opteron 880's that i want to put into the server, but it won't recognize them due to them not being hp eom cpu's. The server does support the 880, but i think its only looking for the hp oem code 'ost' instead of the standard 'osa'. I'd love to get this working, hp has been no help at all and their 'supported' cpu's are x5 times the price of generic ones.

below is a link to the bios update on hp's website, please move this to the correct forum if its something that you guys can help with.

I dont recall your screen name from any forum that i have visited, I have only asked about this on the hp support forums to my knowledge. Thanks for the answer though, guess I am just going to have to sell the server and cpu's and get something newer.
