Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source

Hi all,


I want to do this so my T9300 (originally a T5550) will have its multiplier changing (currently locked at its max value). I am suspecting naively this may be due to a too old microcode version.


I have tried to add the latest 10676 microcode file

into the bios 1.45 for Acer 7720G

I tried with cbrom198.exe but the bios is not a Award but a Phoenix SecureCore bios and cbrom hangs.


Would you have any alternative ?

Do Load Defaults in BIOS.
Reboot and make & post a screenshot of regedit with expanded key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0
And make CPU-Z TXT Report and post "Processors Information" & "Thread dumps" sections from it.
