Can someone do the slic 2.1 bios mod for Acer Extensa 5230E please. I've found a lot of them on web but non of them was working for me.

Can You add a windows tool to flash it if possible please.

Update from DOS with included flash utility, type flash.bat
Please post results.
Its gave me a message "bios file corrupt. Bios module not found...". I found a few modded bios file and all of them gave me the same error. Any ideas why?

Flashed bios mod from DOS with USB-bootable?
Well i've used a USB floppy drive with dos and ntfsdos driver to get acces to ntfs partition on hard drive. I've run phlas from hard drive. Should i make a dos bootable usb stick to flash it?

OK, update from windows. Run HMA136_SLIC.exe (x64 or x32)

I've been trying to do that yesterday for about 4 hours without possitive result and You have done it in few minutes. You are tha Man. Everything working fine now. Thanks a lot mate.

Hi sivienki and sovem, any chance of one of you two re-uploading this Windows version, the link has been taken down now and I am having a little play with one of these at the mo but Vista is making it painful.
