Thanks for the unlock on the previous version. Unfortunately there was a bug in the older BIOS version affecting the AMD variant that caused the 3g card to intermittently not function after returning from sleep. This has been fixed in the new version posted. Thanks.

BIOS Version: 8quj07us (1.15/1.14) http://support.lenovo.com/en_IE/download...D=DS019251
BIOS LINK: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj07us.exe
Existing card: F3607gw
VID/PID: USB\VID_0930&PID_130C&REV_0000
Guessing this was missed over the Christmas. There was another person looking for this white list removal but unfortunately posted in the wrong forum so bumping for them also. Ive also noticed i put the incorrect VID/PID values. They should be: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&SUBSYS_819510EC&REV_01

Thanks, flashed correctly and the card is being accepted.

Now to see if Lenovo actually fixed the problem.
Thanks for confirming,

I have a question I´m serching am whitelist removal for the x121e 3051 AMD BIos Version 1.15 for the Globetrotter Card GTM378. Can someone tells me how it works?
Or can someone tel me ho to modificate the bios?
The Card has the following items:
Hardware Id
USB\VID_0AF0&PID_6901&REV_0000
USB\VID_0AF0&PID_6901
I would be very glad If someone can help me...
Thanks
You have link to bios with whitelist removed a few posts up in this thread. It will work with any card.
Thanks you for your great work camilo!
But there is one problem:
I bought an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 Mini PCIe Wifi card and flashed the modded BIOS from this thread. But when I press the power button, the harddisk starts but there only appears a blank screen. The backlight doesn't turn on, either. There is no error or a beep or something like that and I can't even reach the BIOS menu.
When I switch back to the old card, everything works fine. Do you have an idea what's happening here?
Thanks in advance,
Tim
Edit:
My machine is a Thinkpad x121e (AMD E-450) 3051-5YG.

Hey Tim,

The AMD version doesn't work with INTEL cards. There is an existing hardware conflict.
You can use RALINK etc. instead.
Hi!
I need a bootable disk image of this firmware to update it without any windows installed.. Also there is a new firmware version published by Lenovo: 1.16
Big thanks to all your work!
