Hello all!

I've tried repeatedly to replace the stock Intel GM4500M Vbios in this Toshiba L305-S5894 with the updated replacement VBIOS that comes with the Intel Drivers using Phoenix-Mod-Tool and Slic, I've extracted the vbios and hexed the new one in and it just black screens and I have to go to recovery. Strangely it appears as if there are two seperate copies of the vbios contained in the bios file?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can supply all files that I have currently.
Included in VBIOS_MOD.zip

The original bios file: ps10220m.fd
The updated VBIOS from Intel: vbios_gm4x.zip (ctg_2107.dat is vbios)
Toshiba SLIC21: Toshiba[TOSINV-TOSINV00-INV]2.1.BIN
Toshiba SLP: TOSHIBA.txt
Toshiba Certificate: TOSINV00-TOSINV-2.1.XRM-MS
2 Intel Roms Extracted from original bios with Phoenix Mod Tool:
8DFAE5D4-B50E-4C10-96E6-F2C266CACBB6.MOD
86430990-055C-474B-A4B4-6C9A29BFA14F.MOD

Also would it be possible to merge updated vbios with this modded bios:
Tosh_L305_UlkMenus_ByCamiloml.zip

Also just to be clear, I am not just hitting replace module in phoenix_tool and praying...lol I have opened the original vbios and the new one in a hex editor to compare the files and it seems as if the beginning part of the file is what determines where the vbios is placed in the overall bios file, and I've copied the code across to the new vbios file, but no joy.
Figured it out!

Hello. I have the Acer Travelmate 5730 and would like to do the same procedure. But i'm still totally ignorant, modding a BIOS.

The attached vBIOS should be added to the attached modified BIOS.

What do i have to do, to mod in the vBIOS?

Btw, what are the other files for (ctg_2107.exe, ctg_2107.bsf)? Can i do something with it?
