I have a Lenovo x120e with BIOS 1.16 that I need the whitelist removed on to be able to use an aftermarked wifi card (Intel 6235). If more information is needed I'll be happy to supply it.

Thanks a lot.

Soven......Thank you for the Mod. I have tried using it but get errors such as (driver loading failed. the utility cannot proceed while using WINUPTP). While using winflash I get an error such as (cannot launch the UEFI emulator). I downloaded the original ISO file from Lenovo to get the bios upgraded to 1.17.

For the WL Removed Mod I have gone through the same exercise and ran the flash.bat with no success. When I insert the Intel 6235 it says to remove the card in order to boot.

Can you help resolve this?

Thank you in advance for you help.

My configuration is: Windows 7 64bit, 8gb memory, 120GB SSD

Hi frend,
have read intructions before try It :

For ThinkPad X120E (BIOS ID TP-8F) with 8FET33WW (1.17) bios.

Flash original (non modified) same version bios (8fuj10us)
then, after reboot, flash modified one - run FLASH.bat as "Administrator"

So 1st is to update Bios to 1.17 Original version before all, nd run as Admin comand flash.bat using Coand Prompt with Administrator rights !!!
Have You done all this ?
Regards
It's not working for me. I've followed the instructions without any issue but still get the error "1802: unathorized network card is plugged in — power off and remove the miniPCI network card (0BDB/1926)"
Should it work if I try to insert WWAN?
I would highly appreciate any help and advice.
We have to check if It is been flashed !
You have to use this tool run It as Admin and upload the result file here :

Hi,

Thanks for the excellent work, now I can install Atheros AR5B22 on my X120e (it's rather old now, but surprisingly healthy).

Run the BAT file directly is not working on Windows 8.1 even though you run with Admin.
Then I got this trick; run the command prompt with admin then direct the path to your BAT file:
Code:
Search -- Command Prompt -- Right Click -- Run as administrator -- direct the path to your BAT file -- execute the BAT

The laptop will hanging for a while, which means the update process is on progress. Please do nothing to your laptop during this process. Better for you to go somewhere else unless you may feel for waiting forever. Less than 5 minutes to complete the process.
I know I'm reviving an old thread but I just bought an x120e for cheap and am wanting to flash the 1.17 modded BIOS but every time I run the FLASH.Bat file from the link nothing happens and I just see the command prompt flash for a second with nothing else happen. Any ideas?
Try this one (Serg008 work) :

Thanks for responding so quickly! After attempting to run it as administrator it gives me the error "Driver loading failed. The utility cannot proceed." Not sure what to do next. Any ideas?
Original (non modified) same version bios SHOULD be flashed at first !!!

then, after reboot, flash modified bios - run WINUPTP.EXE /s

So open a Command Prompt (right moude click run as Administrator) and get a CLI window
then execute the command :

WINUPTP.EXE /s

Have You followed the readme ?
