Hey, I have a supertalent corestore MV in an x200 tablet and I just need this device to be bootable via option rom. Thinkpads have the phoenix BIOS, i believe.
This BIOS had the whitelist removed.
The firmware update is for the corestore for your reference. It is the 64GB MV series

Thank you so much to whoever can do this!!!
Did i post in the wrong forums? No one even downloaded any of the attachments, despite all the views.
Any guidance on what i should have done instead?
Firmware_Update_v2037.zip doesn't contain a option rom. It's a firmware that must be written in SSD memory, not in notebook's bios.
Hmm...thank you so much for your reply and downloading!
Here is my issue: i want my laptop to boot from mPCIe. The firmware contains a controller bios that allows the card to be bootable, but the bios is not taking advantage of it to make the device bootable, despite seeing and initializing it. What is my *correct* request and course of action?
Sorry for my confusion.
hehe, check out the comments section of that blog
. He's who i got the BIOS from.
. Thanks for the research though. I guess i will have to keep trying now to work the Boot Bus Extender in Windows 8 then. This method works in linux. I was hoping that unlocking the BIOS so i could boot from add in cards or adding the option rom to boot from the SSD would allow me to install windows outright. It seems to work with desktop motherboards.
