What you gave me is a backup of your bios and not the untouched version....we cannot modify a backed up bios for you cannot flash it if it is modified...

also, this is not an insyde bios but is a phoenix bios...

we need a direct link to your bios from acer's website or we cannot help you....sorry.
N280 is the Processor Model , we need the model of the Acer Notebook itself. Seeing as the N280 is an Intel Atom CPU , you must have a netbook so your looking for Aspire One or Ferrari One. One model that has the N280 processor is the Aspire One D250 , which the latest bios is v1.25 , so its a long way off your current bios number. Howerver , i dont know if this is your machine or not and we will not perform a mod until you are confident of the make and model of your machine

Hello Admin, sorry for the mix up.. my buddy confirmed that his NB model is a AOD150.

Bios Download: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...4048342091&Step1=Netbook&Step2=Aspire%20One&Step3=AOD150&OS=722&LC=zh-cht&BC=Acer&SC=TWN_1

pls help Big Grin
Here you go , i used Acer 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt: slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was sucessfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

Thanks for the bios, but i have just a few questions i wanted to ask before flashing:

1. Did you use any RW report while implementing the slic2.1? (the one i attached in original post was RW report based on Bios Rev 1.03

2. If i have the Acer OEM version win7, i can simply update the bios and skip the certificate part, right?

Thanks again
1. I dont think i used it - probably forgot due to the confusion with the model number Tongue. If my mod doesnt work (Check using slic toolkit to see if it reports 2.1) , il remod using the RW report. Slic Toolkit can be downloaded here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/747181/SLIC_Dump_ToolKit.EXE

2. Thats correct. Acer OEM disks have the slp key and cert inserted automatically during installation. upon detection of a SLIC 2.1 Bios , the machine is auto activated.
