so that's not donovan's version? It's the one that might brick the laptop?

What are you talking about?
It's just the latest bios version he had posted on his blog before it went "invitation only".
And it's not the bios itself to brick-or-not-brick.

Sorry, then thank you very much!
I didn't understand what you meant when you wrote "If somebody could get donovan6000 latests then."

It says private. I cannot access the file.
What wireless card is everyone else using in their dv6 - 61xx series? Will the intel 8265 work?

I also noticed that my laptop becomes sluggish after the bios update. Like while loading pages in the browser and while playing AOM game. If I revert back to regular bios and change to defaults(F9), only then the smooth performance is returned. What could be going wrong? Something to do with cpu frequencies?
I have set up (thanks to mirh) a Broadcom Bluetooth+Wifi card and it's working fine. I just didn't manage yet to make the bluetooth properly wake up from sleep, I have to restart the pc to be able to use it again. Wifi works fine, instead.

I didn't notice any slugginesh, apart a little bit at first boot after updating the bios, but I guess that can be kind of normal.

Hello,

On HP support page of your model, the driver available for download is sp60655. But the one in this thread is SP55068. So you should probably look for sp60655.
Can i flash it using my USB? if yes how? Smile

[Update]
sorry i might forgot to mention shortly the specs.:
