Not tested.

Thanks for your time and effort!

After flashing there is no output on screen anymore. Any fix for that?

EDIT: I've found this BIOS - https://app.box.com/s/j4fffsagyzlohxmnvq6t - maybe could be used as a refrence for a valid BIOS. I'm terribly sorry to bother you again, it's just that I don't have the knowledge to perform this modification. This time maybe it's better to make it flashable with *.img file so I wouldn't need to see the screen.

Phoenix BIOS Recovery

Recommendations on this.

In the original 8guj17us.exe file there are $01CE000.FL1 and $01CE000.FL2 - which one should I rename as BIOS.WPH?

FL1 file... it must be right.

Doesn't seem to be working, could be because I am using an SD card with adapter to USB? Cause it's formatted as FAT and I followed all the instructions with it flawlessly.
Maybe with CH341A Programmer? Though I have no idea where is the BIOS chip is located and what's the voltage. I've spotted two chips that looked to me like the BIOS, so perhaps one is FL1 and the other is FL2, how can I know which one to flash?

They probably have inscriptions on the top. Select the one with larger memory capacity. FL1 belongs to this one.

Alright. Though FL2 is larger than FL1 by 13KB.

Ignore the FL2. It should contain data for KBC in addition, or something like that.

FL1 contains unneeded flash part tables. Truncation is required.

So maybe this is why Phoenix BIOS Recovery didn't work?
I renamed the whole FL1 file as BIOS.WPH, maybe I should rename only the flashable part of FL1.
I'll try that first and will update here.

According to some other sources (example), e_bcpvpw.exe is only applied when BIOS file is compressed.
But it gives me "Source file format not acceptable - missing header!" so it means it is not compressed.
Meaning there is no reason to try Phoenix BIOS Recovery since it is already decompressed as I understand.

I used trancation on FL1 file and got a 2MB size file. Has it trimmed only the unnecessary code?
According to the site you provided it is ready but I just want to make sure.

Thanks again! And sorry for the bother.
