There are a ton of threads here on how to successfully flash this machine, and I've read them all but for some reason it won't flash from the USB. I saw one other poster had a similar issue, but no resolution was posted.

For this machine the basics were to FAT32 the stick, load the re-named ROM and use FN+B to load it up. It definitely is going to some sort of black screen mode, the fan spins up and its locked out key wise, but the BIOS doesn't take. I never hear any beeps at all, and time doesn't seem to make any difference.

It seems the BIOS whitelist itself is solved, but I can't find any information on problems actually using the recovery procedure. Any tips would be great. Right now I'm using an ADATA 16GB stick. If I use F12 it correct shows as a USB boot option so the machine sees it.
Still looking for any ideas on this. I switched to an older Crucial 2GB still with an activity light, and both the FN-R and FN-B startups, although black-screening the laptop and spinning up the fan, never even attempt to access the USB stick no matter what port I'm in.

Is there a more old school option for loading a bootable DOS program on the stick to manually flash the bin file?
