Hi,

-Manufacturer: eMachines
-Motherboard Model: eMachines D620
-Bios revision: V1.03
-Bios Type: Phoenix BIOS
-Bios Download Link: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...8831391382&Step1=Notebook&Step2=D%20Series&Step3=D620&OS=V10&LC=ru&BC=eMachines&SC=EMEA_23E

I want to enable AHCI in my laptop because I recently bought a SSD drive. Unfortunately my BIOS has no option for turning AHCI on, so I'm stuck with IDE emulated mode. I have an AMD chipset with SB600 southbridge controller namely:

AMD
SB600
218S6ECLA21FG
PA8705.00
0831AKP

If someone could give me a few pointers and warn me about possible pitfalls...

Thanks.

Pitfalls:- You may brick your laptop and end up with an expensive paperweight. Bios modding is an extremely risky process and you always take a risk while flashing a bios , be it modded or unmodded.

Unfortunately this is a Phoenix bios , which we are currently unable to unlock Sad

Sorry
