When i extract the executable for my bios on from hp's website i get the bin file, but don't know how to get the .rom or .wph file from there. Can someone help with the procedure for that?
The Bios Extension Format Depends On The type of bios in the machine.

Award Bioses , generally use .bin

AMI Bioses , generally use .rom

Phoenix Bioses , generally use .wph and .rom

I know that this board has an Award bios. HP use irregular bios file names. Your bios file is teh one called asp5.13

If you would like to request an unlocking mod for this bios , please create a thread in Award Bios Unlocking Requests

I already did create a request, and i appreciated your warning about the risk/reward not being worth it. And before i actually try a modded bios on it, i'll make sure i buy a spare motherboard prior.

However i've been practicing On this particular bios with modbin6 and Cbrom, and getting more familiar with the process, i was trying to open the file in Phoenix bios editor, but keep getting a no bcps found message, I thought perhaps it was because it was looking for a .wph or .rom file.
Phoenix Bios editor wont do anything , you have an Award bios , not Phoenix. Its rather confusing because Phoenix makes award and brands them under PhoenixAward.

Phoenix = Phoenix

PhoenixAward = Award
