Was about to buy an intel 7260 to go with my ac router. Will the method you linked work? and did you just use donovans output_mod.bin file? i tried to use prr2 and gave me a "unsupported 16-bit application"

you need to run prr2 from an x32/x16 platform; I used a windows 98 USB drive for mine. Be sure you move an x32/x16 version of fptw.exe over as well. Windows x64 dropped x16 support hence the error. I did use the output_mod.bin file.

there has been an issue... my windows 8 key apparently is in the files... while it doesn't effect me directly (I on't run win 8 on it), to you it might.
Help please....

I have a Lenovo P400 running Windows 8.1. I updated to BIOS v 1.21 and then attempted to update BIOS modded for whitelist removal. Apparently, I did something wrong and it will not recognize ANY wireless card. Additionally, if I try to make any modifications to BIOS it gives me an "Error 28" message. Please help. My wife is going to kill me if I do not fix the computer.

I need an effective non-whitelist BIOS for my computer. thank you, in advance, for your help!!!

Hi friend,
Sovem has done here a Generalized Version for All users :

http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Le...l-71CN51WW

You can use that one and try to bypass error 28 (lately manufacturers are locking all possibilities to reflash Modded Bioses so flashing new ones Eeprom will result locked).
Let me know
regards
Not to be an [censored], but sounds like I was lucky for mine to mod ok. Too bad the base plastics on mine are done (one corner ans a foot is gone)...

Thank you BDMaster and ratdude747, After reviewing suggestions and obtaining access to the prr2.exe file, things worked out. With prr2.exe, I was able to remove the Error 28 issue. I was then able to use the new bios mod to remove the whitelist. The key was the prr2.exe file!

Thank you for your support!!!
