Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source

Hi everyone! I have a laptop CQ61-424SA, bios version F.23 here is the link http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp51501-52000/sp51527.exe

I have searched these forums and have flashed this bios ... btw this workes great loads more options than the the HP one

But the main reason I need a new bios is so that I can change to AHCI mode

Here you go. I removed all the EFI_IFR_SUPPRESS_IF command inside the setup utility. Just run InsydeFlash.exe to flash the modded rom.

Also, eventhough it isn't required, I always appreciate donations. It's not like modding bios is easy

Hey sorry about delay ... the mod works great loads more option than before but does this AHCI option rom actually enable AHCI or is it some kind of virtualization, i need this as i am trying to install a hackintosh on my laptop

I don't know how your bios behaves anymore than you do. I only unlock the options, and this doesn't tell me how your settings behave.

Does this BIOS has the whitelist check removed or just unlocked menu? I've been searching for a whitelist removed 3069 HP BIOS but every link is dead. Thank you very much.

I have a Compaq Presario CQ61-10EE that uses the same bios version. I am having a few issues here, if you are able to help me would be very much appreciated and a donation will be made for your time. First of all I am using Windows 10 which might be the root of the problem, but hopefully there's a fix without downgrading my operating system. So...any Bios version above F.05 that I flash causes this issue of the laptop not recognizing that the laptop is plugged in/charging. Second problem, the f.05 bios doesn't include the power tab for my wireless keyboard, but in BDMaster’s moded bios it does give me this function but when I enable it, I am still unable to wake up computer from keyboard. Please let me know if there is an option to enable this or if there is a fix for it. Lastly, I don't know if this is a bios related issue but here it goes... I am unable to see bios/computer starting up while connected through HDMI to TV. Here is the thread where I found BDMaster’s moded bios “look for the #5 further up the page”
