BIOS P5KPL-AM IN/ROEM/SI
Hello,

A year has almost past.
Could someone take a look into this BIOS and unlock if possible the AHCI function?
It would be a great Christmas present for us the owners.

I can confirm the above links posted by potem work just fine.

Happy holidays,
Eugen

This is my reply to me and all of you who will search for this.

The chipset on this board has no RAID or AHCI functionality because it has a Base controller named ICH7 made by intel, and it is one of a 6 controller family from this branch.

82801GB (ICH7) Base (Base)
82801GR (ICH7R) RAID
82801GDH (ICH7DH) Digital Home
82801GBM (ICH7M) Mobile
82801GHM (ICH7M DH) Mobile Digital Home
PC82801GU (ICH7-U) Ultra-mobile

To identify if you have or not this chipset, the only method is to open the case and check the Southbridge controller, it is located in the proximity of the battery, you cannot miss it as it has written INTEL on it and see if you have the last letter B, or R. Everything else is self explanatory. (which means if you have B then it pretty Basic).

Well thank you and have a happy new year,
Eugen
Hi guys,
Is it possible to unlock fine voltage adjustments for this BIOS?
I am trying to overclock the CPU, which is a Q9400 quad core, but I don't seem to pass the 3Ghz barrier. Even do I have mounted a cooler for the northbridge and southbridge chip and added some kick [censored] CPU cooler with a decent 400W active power supply.
This motherboard has voltage settings which are set automatically. The only thing, I can do in bios, is to either ignore the voltage or acknowledge it, that is for VCORE.
Also in the Jumper Free configuration, there are some option to adjust the voltage, but they are predefined by the manufacturer. So I can't set the right voltages in order to get a high overclock with this board. I'm aiming for a stable 3.2 Ghz or 3.4 Ghz.
This board has some real potential if those settings are in a form of fine adjustments.

Cheers,
Eugen
