[/font]Hi everyone,

I'm completely new in BIOS Mods and I just registered this.
I have a ACER Aspire 9815WKHi for which I have bought 4Gb of ram (2x2gb Kingstone Ram) and bought and installed original Windows 7 x64.
My problem started ugrading the ram (in the original Acer guide it clearly states that works with 4gb and that the computer works at 64bits).
This is a big lie. If I install 4Bg of ram (or even 2gb+1gb) the computer, originally with Win XP x32, boots but blank black screen and only the sound works. I have called Acer assistance 4 times asking to suggest wich latest bios to flash in order to make it work properly. They have stated a bunch of lies relevant to the need of x64 bit software and not to flash the bios because it is dangerous and so on.
I have managed myslef to make if partially work: I have flashed the bios with the lastest version for Vista but nothing worked. Then I had the great idea to look for the battery and unpugh it for 30 seconds forcing the BIOS to load the original BIOS ROM and not using the ram copy kept alive from the battery.
The Bios reads only 3Gb or ram but Windows 7 sees the 4Gb (only 3 usable). I have updated Acer people in order to suggest the same procedure in the future.
I went deeply into this matter and I have found out that ACER is volontarely not considering the possibility to enable the Virtualisation Technology (VT or VT-x or Vanderpool as you wish to call it) and this flag in the BIOS is laso hidden in case you are trying to Mods the Bios.
You really need to be a Guru in this field to get it work.
It is an Acer Policy so that you have to buy a new computer.
I have checked my CPU and the VT can be enabled and also the Chipset could manage the VT but at present the Chipset (Mobile Intel I945PM) keeping working at 32bit is the bottle neck of the computer.
Is like having a Porche Turbo and using it with hand break always on.

Can anyone help me just to enable the VT feature on my bios V2.14 (V214.ROM) downloadable at

Please anyone that can help me just contact me or reply to this message.
