Hi everyone, I have a friend's G500 here, I used Lenovo's original, unmodded bios update 2.03 and after flashing, the laptop turns on (fan spins) and the screen remains black.

Bios recovery mode seems to work (Fn+B or R turns the laptop on with fan at full speed, both power and battery leds on).

However, every name I've tried for the bios file and every usb stick i've tried have made no difference. The laptop just stands there doing nothing, fans spinning...

This seems to be a popular model and it seems strange to me that there isn't a definite bios recovery procedure. Does anyone have any tips?

Hi, can you unlock my BIOS? Backup
BTW I wanted to upgrade Celeron 1005M to i3 3110M, but it did not boot properly. Only black screen. Could that be bad CPU, or whitelist?

Hello! I also have the same laptop model as yours but I read that it is only for your laptop can someone also make one for me? The reason I want enabling the advanced mode is so that I could enable Hot-Plugged I have a EGPU dock which occupies my laptop mPcie .. I made it work the EGPU works without modding the bios through hot-plug putting it to sleep mode then remove the wifi card that occupies the mPcie but im having this BSOD almost the 100th time DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
even without touching or doing anything in my laptop

I have problem like that, when I replace my cpu(13-3110m) with new one (i5-3230m), pc doesnt boot anything. It stucks on black screen. What should I do?

I have Lenovo G500 notebook and i need an unlocked bios. Especially i want to have an opportunity to change Video Ram settings.
