Hi everyone, not sure if I am in the right place so I'll ask first to not waste anyones time: I bought myself some cheap 3rd party battery packs for my Lenovo G500 and the current BIOS version has a serial number lock and tells me those are bad and won't use them.
The vendor told me to downgrade to an older BIOS version which I can't get my hands on though so I am stuck.
Is there a BIOS/procedure available to make my knockoff battery packs work in the machine?

Hi
the control of the battery is carried out by the EU
if you have previous versions of bios, you can experiment...but I doubt that this will help you
P.S. In my opinion, the right choice is to turn the battery back to the seller

And where would be the fun in that? :-)
I guess I will try to adapt this piece here to my situation:

That beeing said, I would kindly request modification of my BIIOS (ROM File can be found here
http://www.rapidshare.com.cn/3AMULvr ) - whatever is possible. WLAN replacement and more BIOS options to play around with sound great to me!
Hello there.
May I please also have an unlocked version of 78CN25WW (2.03) with advanced settings, etc?
Thanks in advance :-)
