cant find a good donor bios Huh
Hello, I have the ASUS A8M2N-LA originally packaged by HP in the Compaq SR2010NX model.

I currently run a 64 x2 6400+. Wonder if there could be support for AM2+ or Phenom chipsets. There are quite a few of us over at CPU-Ugrade that have been working on this for a while. (Kinda long while.)

Any help you could provide would be really appreciated. If there is homework to do, I am happy to help dig things up or search things out. Not a Whiz, but if I can be of use please let me know.

Best regards,
Rick

I have this old motherboard, asus A8M2N-LA that supports up to Athlon 64x2 5000+ cpu and was curious if it is possible to mod the bios (my current version is the official 3.07) in order to support amd athlon 64 x2 6000+ (ADA6000IAA6CZ).
So...
1. asus A8M2N-LA (also known as nodusm3)
2. current bios version: 3.07
3. this is the 3.10 version http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software9/...p35111.exe (only for XP I think)
4. cpu: amd athlon x2 6000+ (ADA6000IAA6CZ)
5. bios donor: from asus M2NPV-VM http://dlsvr04.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/sock...M/1301.zip
The donor motherboard has GeForce 6150 chipset, while mine has GeForce 6150 LE chipset.
I have Windows 7 32bit...

Hello and welcome to the forums

I have been absent for a fair lengh of time and have decided to re-arrange my busy life to fit in bios modding again.

I have created a bios using the microcode out of the donor that you listed. If this doesn't work, please be patient , I haven't done this for a while!

Try at your own risk!
