Hello, i am a simple man with simple needs, i dont want any bells or whistles i just want to be able to use a 64 bit os and i cant because the packard bell website sucks, i cannot find updated bios for my computer and they dont even seem to have it on record either or i cant find it.

I have a Packard bell ixtreme x8540, i want to put windows 7 on it and have the 64 bit version so i can use the little extra ram i have. it would also be nice to be able to over clock my q6600.

For some reason packard bell seems to have locked the mother board into some sort of 32 bit only mode, i just want some very smart guy or girl to help me get it into the 64 bit range.

I have made a backup of my current bios which can be found here - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4o7NJm...sp=sharing

any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, i am tech savy and i have exhausted my googling skills, packard bell have let me down so badly, their site went down a few years ago and since then they have not recognized my product or even referenced it
The motherboard is designed to only utilize 32bit processors. Changing the bios wont change the hardware design.
Oh no, what a shame Sad would this board still allow over clocking on the CPU?
