Hi, can someone please remove the whitelist on my model:

Name: DV5 1050ed
Manufacturer: HP
BIOS: 2009-09-04 , Version F.21 A
WIFI: Intel 5100 AGN PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4237&SUBSYS_12118086&REV_00

Thanks!!!
Thanks for the quick reply, I tried upgrading the ROM, but it errors saying: Warning, can not check platform ID.

Am I doing something wrong? Thanks
Is your computer really compatible with that BIOS you posted?
I think so, this is what I found on the HP support site. It will also upgrade without errors when I run it (although a popup will say that this bios is allready on the system).

I replaced the 2 .fd files in the original folder from the ones you posted. It will error with the same message if I run up the update tool, so I guess it's somewhere in the firmware?
So i also tried changing values in the config file that comes with the update tool, but no luck. Any ideas on how to get the modded BIOS on there?
I eventually found a compatible bios for my laptop:

Hi friend,
That Bios is done for two Model Board :

[Platform_Check]
flag=2
PlatformName=3602
PlatformName2=3603

So You have to check your Board Model, look under laptop where is Serial number or under battery You'll find it and compare.
I checked Bios Modded from FjFc and Sovem and both are done on same sp45138.exe original, so is your !
only problem may be is on dll "iscflash.dll" to be patched, try Sovem too and post result.
Then You can force the flash modding by modifying platform.ini file.
Let me know
