Hallo !

New to BIOS stuff, despite my PC literacy. Smile

I came across a strange problem with its Phoenix BIOS, that's why I am posting here.

I've found a new left unit of an old notebook, which is working pretty well:
Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook S6120D.
It came with the latest BIOS version, which is 1.26, officially.
But at Fujitsu America Support site, I found a newer rare version, which is 1.28, and what is best - it is Windows based.
I flashed it, and everything worked well with the legacy HDD which is 60GB.
As soon as I tried to upgrade the HDD, I faced the following problem:
When I put the (only available) new IDE HDD, which is 160GB the situation is as follows:
-In BIOS menu, the information for the HDD is like this: 137GB.
-When I start from its bootable CD the program Acronis Disk Director 10, in order to format the HDD, and make new partitions where to restore respective images from the old HDD, it shows: 128GB (for the same HDD in the PC - the as 137GB recognized one).
I can just suppose there is some kind of limitation, but I am not able to define it where, what, how.
Could you give me a hand, please ?

I post here a link to that Windows based BIOS version (1.28) and an original BIOS guide from Fujitsu too:

Any opinion will be greatly appreciated.
